This is the owner and operator writing this ad and the person you will see on site to give the quote and help with the sod installation process. I guarantee our work of the proper sod installation; however, it is up to you to maintain the proper watering schedule after the installation is complete (Please refer to our pricing chart on the top left corner for cost of job based on the number of pallets/quare footage and the type of grass you want).
We have clear cut/transparent pricing as you read in the following paragraphs and have no hidden fee. However, there is variable pricing for:soil prep work,travel distance to your location,and any other contingency that increase the labor or material costs. We have some of the most affordable pricing in the business since we reduce our internal operating costs to save you money. We strive to deliver quality work at an affordable price.
As the before and after pictures illustrates, we did all the necessary prep work of tilling, applying the right amount of starter fertilizer and lime while leveling and grading, to ensure that the new grass thrives. Next,we install quality fresh cut sod from the farm at an affordable price. The sod installer will be on site to lay the sod as quickly as possible;thus,reducing the chance of the sod drying out or potentially dying.
OUR AFFORDABLE PRICING:
--------------------------------------------
--Cost of the labor for laying sod========= $100 per pallet
--Average cost of prep work=========== $70 per pallet
**VARIABLE COSTS OF PREPARING THE SOIL**
Our average cost for preparing the the soil(Tilling,raking,leveling, removing all the vegetative debris) averages around $70 Per 500(area that covers 1 square feet area.However, prep cost vary depending on the size and the condition of the soil. Next paragraph explains more.
The prep cost depends on the condition of your soil and the amount of debris that needs to be removed-to create the optimal conditions for your new sod to thrive. For example, here are some questions to consider when determining the amount of work/cost of pre-sod installation prep work:
--- Does your yard have abundant amount of thick roots that need to be removed with an ax since the tiller can't cut it?
--- Is there a lot of rocks underneath your soil?
--- How many trash bags of debris will be filled up by the end of the prep work stage?
--- Does your yard require additional soil to fill in the holes left from the big rocks and roots?
***These are just a few examples of why prep work is not a fixed price like the cost of laying sod ($95 per pallet.-This is measurable and always constant.)Again the average prep work cost is $60 per 504 square feet(area that covers one pallet).****
OTHER VARIABLE COSTS TO CONSIDER: --We will be happy to serve customers out of town but understand if you live 100 miles in the country then we will need to factor in travel time/cost of gas in the quote.
===================================================

========================================================
OPTIONAL SERVICES
=========================================================
Keep in mind that you can customize your service to fit your budget, or do the work yourself at any particular stage of the sod installation process. In some cases it may not be necessary to purchase top soil if your existing soil is in good enough shape to hold new sod:
**Cost top soil==================== $1.14 covers 6 square feet (optional or if you soil needs it).
** Using a sod roller to flatten sod(optional/ enhanced option) ===================== $40 per pallet
**Debris Haul off to vegetative landfill(optional)========= Between $50 and $175 (depending on how far the nearest landfill is from your locations. The landfill charges us between $8 and $30 for dumping debris)
========================================================
Depending the size/square footage covered, dictates how much labor/people needed to complete the job. For example, 3 pallet/1,512 square feet would only require one person to do the job. 4 to 5 pallets worth of work will require 2 people. Ultimately we want to get the sod laid on the same day of delivery to ensure its survival. However, you still have the option to pay less by reducing the labor cost but the sod laying job may take two days which increases the risk of the sod dying if not installed and watered quickly.
